The Onboarding Flow

Glance is designed to be learned in seconds. When you first launch the app, follow these three steps:

  1. Prepare your script: Paste or import your text directly or drop a Markdown file into the editor.
  2. Automatic Positioning: The prompter launches at the top center under your camera. You can adjust the height or collapse controls to fit your setup.
  3. Control your flow: Adjust speed, font size, and opacity on the fly, enable Auto-Pause with Voice, or hide the prompter instantly using keyboard shortcuts.

Managing Scripts

You can work with scripts in three ways:

  • Direct Entry: Type and edit directly within Glance.
  • Paste: Bring in text from any document or website.
  • Markdown Import: Load .md files to keep your styling and headings intact.

Auto-Pause with Voice

Let Glance pause the scroll automatically when you stop speaking, then continue when you start again. Ideal for live calls where your pace changes as you explain, answer questions, or improvise.

When enabled, Glance asks for microphone permission. Audio is analysed locally on your device to detect speech and silence only. Nothing is recorded or uploaded.

Power Tip: Section Jumps

In high-stakes calls, conversations are rarely linear. If you use Markdown headings
(#, ##), Glance automatically creates valid jump points.

Press Ctrl + [Number] to jump instantly to that section. Perfect for jumping back to a specific talking point during a Q&A session.

Reliability & Security

Because Glance is a local desktop application, it works perfectly even if your internet connection drops. More importantly, your business-critical scripts, sales demos, and confidential notes never touch a server.
