Glance was built with a core philosophy: your words belong to you. Because Glance is designed to help you read your private notes, scripts, and presentations, we've built the app to be completely local and private by design. While our website uses basic, privacy-friendly analytics to help us understand how people find us, your work within the app never leaves your device.

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, usage data, or scripts from within the Glance application. Glance does not have user accounts, and there is no login required.
All of your Markdown files, notes, and preferences are processed and stored exclusively on your local device. Glance never uploads your documents to the cloud or syncs them to any external servers.
This website uses Mixpanel to help us understand discovery and download trends, but only with your explicit consent. When you accept cookies, Mixpanel collects the following data about your visit:
This data is retained by Mixpanel for up to 90 days. No personal data is collected and no data is linked to
any individual. To withdraw consent at any time, clear your browser's local storage for this site (the
preference is stored under the key glance_cookie_consent). Declining analytics in the cookie
banner means Mixpanel is never loaded.
No telemetry or tracking exists within the Glance desktop application itself.
The Glance application runs locally on your device and can launch offline after its first successful license activation on that machine. Network requests are only made when you activate a new installation, refresh a missing local activation, or manually click an external link such as support resources.
Glance is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Zoom Video Communications, Inc., Microsoft Corporation, or Google LLC.
If we ever decide to introduce optional features that require network access, this policy will be explicitly updated, and those features will always be strictly opt-in.
